The one thing I do- is read. It keeps me sane, it transports me from my boring world into a more exciting one. Yesterday I had a very awkward call from the library, the second this week about the copious amount of books I had reserved there. I went a little crazy reserving on line and had reserved 25, the maximum you being allowed to reserve being 12, and I already had 11 out on my card. They didn't get angry; they don't have enough customers to get angry. It was just funny to see them pull out the stacks from behind the desks when I got there (there being too many to keep on the normal reservation shelf)
Anyway I plan on documenting my reading adventures, a lot of the books I read are from the Rory Gilmore book challenge- a personal challenge of my own for about 4 years now- I'm not getting very far with it though. Others are personal choices. I may also chime in with anecdotes about my life at times too. I'm not really sure where I'm going with this blog as its kind of spur of the moment- but as you can tell by the title it was inspired by Steve Jobs Stamford speech.
The first one is The Crying of Lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon, I'm starting it today and I hope to finish it today as I've been in kind of a reading slump lately. Will report back more later.
